Nick Baldwin FGEWA GFCCA MIBA

Nick has been working as a freelance artist for over sixteen years. Before that he worked in the graphic design field and as an illustrator and cartoonist. He also teaches painting and drawing at various locations in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.

Nick's work has been exhibited in many parts of the country and abroad and is very widely sought after, with some collectors owning many of his paintings and drawings.

Watercolours are his first love, and gentle shading and grading are hallmarks of his very unique style.

Acrylics are his way of letting off steam by using a very free method of work. This results in very colourful paintings full of movement and feeling.

By far the most difficult and unique works are those done using tinted graphite. This involves hours of very precise drawing to create the photo-realistic effects he achieves, which is both remarkable and effective. He is without doubt one of the finest exponents of this medium.
